My name is Liam, I'm a software developer who thrives on turning ideas into reality, one line of code at a time. My journey in tech started with a curiosity for how things work under the hood, and it's led me to build tools that make programming more accessible and intuitive. My proudest creation so far is a natural language translator that bridges code and human expression, designed to make development feel as natural as a conversation. Over the past 10 weeks, I poured my heart into this project, crafting 15 language dictionaries stored in JSON format to support seamless translations across Latin, Cyrillic, and Devanagari scripts. It's still in development, open source, and available for anyone to contribute to on GitHub. Turkish translations can be a bit finicky, but it's a bold step toward reimagining how we code. Beyond that, I've worked on dynamic websites like brimello.com, blending modern design with functionality to create experiences that stand out. When I'm not coding, you'll find me sketching out new project ideas, diving into tech forums, or sharing my journey on YouTube, where my translator demo has hit 1,000 views. I'm all about creating tools that empower others, and I'm excited to bring my skills to a team that values innovation and impact.

Natural Language Translator

A tool I built to let developers write in their native language and have it translated into executable code. this project was all about my own ingenuity: creating methods for storing and retrieving mappings, building JSON-based dictionaries for 15 languages, and integrating features like Intellisense for a smoother user experience. It took 10 weeks of late nights and endless debugging, but the result is a working extension that supports Latin, Cyrillic, and Devanagari scripts. It's not without its quirks; editing can sometimes trip it up, and the Turkish dictionary needs some love. But the feedback from my YouTube video and Reddit posts tells me I'm onto something. Some call it amazing and underrated; others wonder why I'd even try. To me, it's an example of how I can take these wild ideas and explore them deeper with code, where coding feels less like a chore and more like a conversation. Since it's open source and still evolving, I'd love for folks to jump in and contribute. Check out the project on GitHub and see it in action.

Building Brimello.com:

One of my favorite projects is contributing to brimello, a vibrant platform where I've flexed my full stack skills. From designing responsive layouts with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to ensuring smooth functionality, I helped create a site that's as engaging as it is user-friendly. I focused on a creators' page all while keeping the dark, modern aesthetic you see on the homepage. My goal was to balance creativity with precision, making it a hub for creators and users alike. It's taught me a lot about what makes a site feel alive and intuitive.

Bringing Ideas to Life

I'm a versatile developer with a knack for solving problems and building tools that matter. I'm comfortable with databases for backend data management, and I've got a solid grasp of responsive design to make sure everything looks great on any device. I'm also no stranger to JSON, having built 15 language dictionaries from scratch. Beyond the tech, I'm a communicator, whether it's sharing my work on YouTube, engaging with feedback on Reddit, or writing clear documentation. I thrive on collaboration, love tackling bugs (even the stubborn ones), and am always learning to stay ahead of the curve. My goal is to create solutions that are as user-friendly as they are innovative.

Why I program

Coding, to me, is about exploring new possibilities with computers. When I started my natural language translator, I wanted to build something that could change how people interact with code, especially those who feel intimidated by traditional programming. It's why I spent weeks perfecting dictionaries for languages like Hindi and Russian, and why I'm already dreaming up ways to add Intellisense for a seamless UX. I code because I believe tech should be inclusive, empowering everyone to create. My work on brimello.com reflects that too, whether it's designing a creators' page or optimizing a search bar, I'm driven by the idea of connecting people through technology. The mixed feedback on my translator, from "this is genius" to "why bother," only fuels me to keep iterating and proving its value.
